Look What I Have Been Making
I was watching Elijah as mom cleaned the bathroom this morning so he helped me make these flowers. It took construction paper, scissors, staples and address labels lol. I looked everywhere for tape and could not find any. So I used some Christmas address labels we got for free in the mail as tape. Worked really well because they are really the perfect length! I thought the turn out really nice. They were simple to make. What do you all think?

A Tree Crashed In My Goat Pen
A tree crashed in my goat pen breaking some fencing up. Dad was saying that he needed to cut down a tree for firewood for next year. Well there you go maybe not the way you wanted but now all you have to do is cut it up hehe. All the goats were safe. Rose was out having a blast and she is NOT one to be bad or jump fences. So I figured she must be in heat. I went to put her back and realized the tree was down so she just hopped out. Lily was such a good girl and stayed regardless of the oppurtunity. I was so proud of her! She is a excellent girl most of the time and perfectly behaved most of the time. Below are some pictures. They are hard see due to a exceptionally sunny day.
It crashed through the fencing!

My Goat Loves The Camera
My buck Buck has had a fascination with the camera since he was little. He LOVES getting his picture taken and always gives mommy a few good shots.
Vaccinations make me...
How I managed to get a picture like this I am not sure he is just such a great little picture taker. Really you could add anything you are trying to prove to this picture. MSG, fluoride, Mercury etc. make me (you post the pic) sick! Now for real if you want to use any of my pictures please ask my permission first.
He also asked that I give him the credit for such great pictures.
Elijah At The Play Ground
He had a very fun time with his moo moo at the play ground.\
What Ya Doin'?
My little brother's newest thing to say to me is What ya doin'? I thought you make like to hear it for yourself! It sounds SO cute!
Why he decided to fall back at the end I am not quite sure lol! I was out with Rose one day when he caught me completely by surprise and said to me What ya doin'?. I told him I had Rose out to munch a little and keep Snow company. I was so shocked he asked me that! That is now his new question he asks only me. He's such a little sweet heart!

God Is...
What is God to you?
God is holy
God is my vision
God is love
God is my joy
God is my strength
God is my peace
God is merciful
God is the just judge
God is my counselor
God is the King of kings
God is the Prince of Peace
God is my Rock
God is my refuge
God is my Shepherd
God is long suffering
God is my all in all
Without God I am nothing.
God is my comforter
God is pure
God is sovereign
God is perfect

There is SO many things that God is to us! Think of all he has done for you that is what he is to you. Has he brought peace in your life? Where did it come from? GOD! And he is peace! So what is God to you?

CL
CL short for Caseous Lymphadenitis is a contagious goat and sheep disease. It is a bacterial infection. In which a abscess will grow pop and spread. If a goat gets a bump quarantine it right away. There are several tests in which you can test them. Though they are not accurate if they are under 8 months old. Since the pus is enclosed in a thick fiberous capsule medicine and antibiotic treatment doesn't work against CL bacteria. Again how I knew she didn't have it because we used things like this and it healed it up. They currently consider CL incurable. The Colorodo Serum Company is coming out with a vaccine that you can give to your goats as babies to prevent them from getting CL. It is now available in Canada. They have been working on getting it in the US. If your goat is pregnant with CL they can be treated with Formalin (10% buffered formaldehyde) recommended by this site http://www.tennesseemeatgoats.com/articles2/caseouslymphadenitis.html(This site also has other very helpful information and detailed pictures on CL). You inject it into the abscess and it will fall off in a non contagious form. Pull kids right away and do not give them her milk as CL can be passed that way. Do not drink her milk either. Humans can get CL so be very careful to not get pus on your hands clothes or anything. Wear gloves when handling the abscess and goat. If you have any questions I would be glad to help. Please leave your questions in comments section.
Goats Make Me Worry
NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH A WEAK STOMACH!
Snow has been trying to make me worry. I found this bump and it popped. We thought it might be CL. After pictures I will tell you why it was not CL. I will also after this post explain what CL is. I plan to go over the different goat things CAE CL Coccidiosis and others. Here's pictures:

She had everyone worried because the location of the bump. This is the classic spot for them to appear. Just below the ear.
Closer picture. You can see yellow pus.
A little bump.
Okay now this was a classic size about the size of a walnut. Also a classic location just below the ear. This had everyone scared to death. How did I know it was not CL? CL abscesses have cheesy tooth paste like pus that comes out. This was just very runny. Also what came out was watery liquid and just a little blood. I am NOT saying that if your goat gets a bump below the ear that it is not CL. I am saying that it is not always. If you have cheesy tooth paste like pus coming out of the bump your goat likely DOES have CL. I had her in quarantine by herself. It has been just over 3 weeks since her bump totally healed she has not had another bump. A warning I will throw out they do not have to appear sick or unhealthy to have CL. You can get the abscess tested by getting a sample of the pus and sending it to the lab or a vet can do it. Down fall with the vet you may not be able to get a appointment before it heals. That's what has happened with Snow. I will get where you can send the sample to and how to it later. I want to break down the different things goats get and make them very ABC's. One thing I have found when researching is that the information is basic and easy to understand they just don't put it in a way that is easy to understand. So I will try to put all these simply for beginners.

Fun Pictures!
Recently we got some snow! We have not had snow in quite a long time. This is also Elijah's first year of being able to comprehend what snow is! He came halfway down the stairs and just sat there looking at the ground out the window totally covered in the white stuff we had told him was snow. It was so cute to see him totally fascinated by it! So we went outside and had lot's of fun! Here are some pictures of our day below:
All bundled up and ready to go!
Playing in the snow!

He made a snow man! He chose to call it moo moo and snowman.
At the top of the hill!
Almost down!

At the bottom of the hill! YEAH!!!
